I wish I didn\’t complain so much. Sorry about that. I\’ll stop in like, 5 months. Probably. ;) Something just always goes wrong with chemo though. This time they couldn\’t access my second port (I have two, so they run stuff through both when something isn\’t compatible with my chemo… like in this case) but they have to hydrate me and the potassium-chloride is of course not compatible with doxorubicin… so I had to get an IV in my wrist… and I so hate IVs. I don\’t know why a needle in my chest doesn\’t bother me but one in my wrist most definitely will! Anyway that was probably the biggest problem this time, I mean aside from nausea a\’plenty! Watched lots of movies though. Starsky & Hutch: funny; New York Minute: saw with sister in theatres already since she has strange MK&A obsession, but still mildly entertaining; Master & Commander: fell asleep at the beginning.. didn\’t look very interesting but my dad said it was; Bring It On: constantly on USA it seemed, but a classic!; Her Alibi: also fell asleep during this one but looked okay.
So I caught up on sleep yesterday and last night, was very good. The last night in the hospital was pretty annoying because they had to finish my chemo and then give me a blood transfusion and they must do my vital signs at the beginning of those, 15 minutes into it, when they switch bags… in addition to the every 4 hours they do it anyway, plus I had to pee every hour, and all this equals a whole lot of Lauren not getting any sleep!
Ooh just remembered more stuff to complain about: THE CLOWNS. Aaah! There are these two \”doctor clowns.\” They are terrifying. They visited my room during one of my first hospital stays. I think I cried. Then yesterday my mom and I were waiting for my discharge orders so we could finally break out and they were coming down the hall so my mom turned out the lights and shut the blinds and they started lifting up the blinds on the door and showing me their crazy socks and clawing at the door and it was very frightening. Plus they totally screwed up the blinds with their canes or umbrellas or whatever they were scratching with and then they had to stay to fix them and they would not leeeave. Stupid clowns. How I managed to sleep without nightmares of clowns clawing at my windows last night I do not really know.
Okay, done whining now. Must just fend off mouth sores and things might be okay! Speaking of which, time for more Nystatin. Wonderful!
